Total improvement and crossing into new markets

Besides continuously improving the machine standards to the newest and most strict regulations in the pharmaceutical industry, COUNTEC also established COGLIX Co., Ltd. a subsidiary company that develops and engineers vision inspection technology and related equipment to respond to customer demand in high-tech inspection systems. Moreover, a brand new headquarters building was constructed in Ojeong, Bucheon.

Rapid overseas expansion

Expanded the model lineup to cover increasing demand for bottle packaging line. A larger production site in Dodang, Bucheon increased manufacturing capacity as well as efficiency rapidly, the company also kicked off its organizational restructuring.

Development of the Tablet Counting Machine

After many years of research, COUNTEC successfully developed its own tablet counting machine model DW-6. Thereafter, the fully GMP compliant, innovative and simple to operate DMC-60S and DMC-120 tablet counters were launched and they soon became one of the bestselling tablet counters in the pharmaceutical industry. A larger manufacturing factory was established to accommodate rapidly increasing orders from around the world.

    First machine sold to a local pharmaceutical company in South Korea.

Company's establishment and transformation

Founded in 1978 as a design and engineering precision shop for tablet presses and tooling for pharmaceutical industries, putting important bridge stones to become a machine manufacturer.

  • 1986

    Changed the company name to Dongwon Machine Company and started developing tablet counting machine.

  • 1978

    The company founded, manufacturing tooling for pharmaceutical industries, under the name of Dong Heung Industry in Seoul, South Korea.
